This aligns with my experience that every software product which has not been optimized in a resource focused way can be sped up by an order of magnitude or the resource consumption can be reduced to a fraction (with limited development effort). Keep that in mind if before you scale out in the #cloud or if you want to get cloud systems back in your own data centers or legislative domain.
